The Marubeni Group is shifting its business portfolio toward Strategic Platform Businesses to achieve sustainable growth in corporate value. Strategic Platform Businesses incorporate business models with winning strategies based on capturing growth domains, offering high-value added products and services, and scalability. Among these, core Strategic Platform Businesses are businesses that combine winning strategies with a proven track record of profit growth. By concentrating investment in these businesses and expanding them, we will enhance capital efficiency and drive high profit growth.

We will promote the winning strategies established in Strategic Platform Businesses beyond individual businesses and throughout the Group. The Value Creation Office (VCO), established in FY2026, will articulate and systematize the factors behind our success and refine them into a form that can be shared and applied throughout the Group. Furthermore, we will leverage the functions of the Growth Investment Management Departments and mechanisms such as the Winning Strategy Sessions to further improve investment quality. Through these initiatives, we will continuously create new Strategic Platform Businesses, ultimately transforming our entire business portfolio into Strategic Platform Businesses. By concentrating capital on these businesses with high capital efficiency and strong profit growth, we aim to achieve a non-resource ROIC of 10% or higher and an ROE of 15%.
