Disaster Recovery & Humanitarian Aid is a component of our corporate social mission, and the Marubeni Group will respond appropriately in accordance with the scale and urgency of particular disasters and humanitarian situations.
Marubeni donated 10 million yen in relief aid to the January 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts. In addition, starting in spring 2024, the Marubeni Group dispatched executives and employees to take part in volunteer initiatives towards the recovery and restoration of the disaster area, using the Hokuriku Branch as the base for activities. Beginning in August 2024, Marubeni began collaborating with the Hokuhoku Financial Group (head office: Toyama City) to jointly send volunteer groups, and as of November 2025, a total of 346 Marubeni Group volunteers have participated in 28 groups over 55 days of volunteering activities in Suzu City, Wajima City, Nanao City, and Anamizu Town in Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as in Himi City in Toyama Prefecture.
From August through September 2025, the Marubeni Gallery co-hosted a special exhibition with the Hokuriku Bank’s Galerie Millet to support recovery efforts following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake. All proceeds collected from admission fees were donated in full to support recovery efforts on the Noto Peninsula.
In consideration of the significant damage resulting from the recent earthquake in central Myanmar, Marubeni has decided to contribute 10 million yen of relief aid to the affected areas.We express our deepest condolences and sympathies to all those affected by the disaster and hope for swift progress in recovery and reconstruction operations.
