Disaster Recovery & Humanitarian Aid is a component of our corporate social mission, and the Marubeni Group will respond appropriately in accordance with the scale and urgency of particular disasters and humanitarian situations.
Marubeni donated 10 million yen in relief aid for the Noto Peninsula earthquake, which occurred in January 2024.In addition, from May to July and from September to November 2024, the Marubeni Group dispatched executives and employees to take part in volunteer initiatives towards the recovery and restoration of the disaster area, using the Hokuriku Branch as the base for activities, with a total of 225 Marubeni Group volunteers participating in over 18 two-day volunteer programs in Wajima City, Nanao City, and Anamizu Town in Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as in Himi City in Toyama Prefecture.
In consideration of the significant damage resulting from the recent earthquake in central Myanmar, Marubeni has decided to contribute 10 million yen of relief aid to the affected areas.We express our deepest condolences and sympathies to all those affected by the disaster and hope for swift progress in recovery and reconstruction operations.
