Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”) has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter, “MoU”) with Information Security Inc. (hereinafter, “iSEC”), a leading Operational Technology (OT)* security company in Japan, on joint business development and sales collaborations in the field of OT security for overseas sites of Japanese companies as well as companies based outside of Japan. Initially, Marubeni and iSEC will conduct business development and sales collaboration initiatives in Taiwan, primarily aimed at the critical infrastructure and manufacturing industries.

 

iSEC has been involved in the OT security business from the sector's earliest beginnings and has now become a leading company in the field, with many major Japanese infrastructure and global manufacturing companies as its customers. iSEC has a strong team of professional personnel and provides one-stop OT security services from consulting to operation.

Marubeni has been conducting business development and sales collaborations with SYSTEX Group, the largest IT service provider in Taiwan, in the field of OT security for the critical infrastructure and manufacturing industries since December 2023, and is jointly conducting market research and sales activities for local companies. In addition to the MoU, Marubeni and iSEC have concluded an additional MoU with SYSTEX Group for business development and sales collaborations in Taiwan, and plan to jointly provide services to a local power generation company, an affiliate of Marubeni, as their first project.

Marubeni will contribute to solving OT security issues faced by overseas clients by combining its overseas network with iSEC’s comprehensive OT security services, thereby contributing to stable operations of the critical infrastructure and manufacturing industries.
