Announcement of the Resumption of eVTOL Demonstration Flights at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

Jul. 11, 2025
Marubeni Corporation

Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”), together with U.S. company LIFT Aircraft, Inc. (hereinafter, “LIFT”), had previously suspended the demonstration flights of the aircraft “HEXA,” developed and manufactured by LIFT, at the EXPO Vertiport, a port within the Future Society Showcase Project at the 2025 World Expo, Japan (hereinafter, the “Osaka-Kansai Expo”). After confirming that the aircraft components meet the design specifications as stated in our announcement dated July 9, Marubeni and LIFT conducted all tests required for demonstration flight resumption—including ground tests and both uncrewed and crewed flights—from July 9 to 11, and we have confirmed the safety of the aircraft. As such, we will resume the previously suspended demonstration flights, starting from July 12. Marubeni, together with LIFT, will continue to make safety our highest priority as we conduct these demonstration flights.

A detailed schedule of the demonstration flights will be announced on the official website of the Osaka-Kansai Expo (available in Japanese only).
