Commencement of Operations at Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant

Marubeni Corporation has completed construction on the Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant (Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture; hereinafter, the “Power Plant”) through Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant G.K., in which it has invested together with Enewill Corporation (hereinafter, “Enewill”) and Osaka Gas Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Osaka Gas”), with commercial operations of the power plant commencing today, November 26. The Power Plant is a wood-fired biomass power plant with a generating capacity of 74,950 kW and is expected to generate approximately 530 million kWh of electricity per year.
Marubeni has set the goal of strengthening green business in its Mid-Term Management Strategy (GC2024) and will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society through the operation of the Power Plant.
