DASI is a leading aircraft inventory solutions provider, procuring and selling approximately 800,000 types of aircraft surplus parts*2 from airlines and MRO*3 companies. DASI's efficient operations, based on its proprietary inventory management system and ability to meet demand for immediate dispatch through its online marketplace, have earned the trust of more than 3,000 customers with diverse needs, and stable growth is expected in line with future growth in demand in the aviation aftermarket.

In 2023, global air passenger traffic is expected to recover to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels in terms of both the number of aircraft in operation and seat supply, with global aviation MRO spending also expected to recover to pre-pandemic levels of approximately 80 billion USD. In addition, demand for expendable parts for the aviation aftermarket is expected to grow approximately two-fold compared to 2021 levels by the year 2032.

Marubeni entered and has been participating and actively expanding its business in the aviation aftermarket business since 2012, following its acquisition in that year of a stake in Magellan Aviation Group LLLP(hereinafter, “Magellan”), a U.S. aircraft part-out company that sells rotable parts for the aviation aftermarket. By acquiring DASI's premier, cost-effective aircraft inventory solutions and combining these with Magellan's functionalities, Marubeni will strengthen its ability to come up with solutions in the aviation aftermarket business, expand its revenue base, and maximize the value delivered to customers.
