Marubeni Corporation (hereinafter, “Marubeni”) and Rent Corporation (hereinafter, “Rent”) established a joint venture company in the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (hereinafter, “Vietnam”). The joint venture company will provide a construction and industrial machinery rental service from November 2022.

With the stable economic growth in Vietnam, investment in the construction and manufacturing sectors has also been increasing. However, on the actual sites of those sectors, the number of machines available is limited, and safe working conditions for the staff there are not adequately ensured.

Since 2012, Marubeni has been providing sales and aftermarket services to major Vietnamese construction and mining companies via its 100% subsidiary Marubeni Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd, which contributes to the development of infrastructure and resource extraction in Vietnam.

Rent has been providing a construction and industrial machinery rental service widely in Japan and Thailand, which supports efficiency and safety on construction and manufacturing sites.

Through the rental service activities of various machineries of this new joint venture company, Marubeni and Rent will multiply their functions and networks, answer the demand in the construction and manufacturing sectors, and contribute to the improvement of safety and efficiency of actual sites in Vietnam.
