Marubeni Corporation (“Marubeni”) has entered the Japanese residential photovoltaic market with the sale of photovoltaic systems consisting of modules, inverters, and mounting systems under “Photovoltaic System warranty”. Marubeni offers complete support, including system components selection, logistics and installation.

Marubeni has developed a strong presence with approximately 20 years of business in the global photovoltaic market value chain. Over the past three years, Marubeni expanded its business by supplying approximately 700MW of photovoltaic modules to the Japanese market and established its knowledge of product selection, logistics, and installation for high-quality and low-cost service. Marubeni will begin supplying photovoltaic systems mainly for house builders and construction companies from April.

The Japanese residential photovoltaic market has expanded and reached 1,300MW in 2013. The photovoltaic market is predicted to continue to expand with the subsidy of the Net Zero Energy House Campaign promoted by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Marubeni endeavors to contribute toward the growth of renewable energy by providing highly reliable photovoltaic systems.
