Our Strengths

Driving Efficient and Accessible Transportation Networks through Holistic Infrastructure Development

Marubeni is committed to implementing a holistic approach to infrastructure projects. The original Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line-2, commissioned in 2004, spans 14 kilometers with eleven stations connecting Manila, San Juan, Quezon City, Marikina, and Pasig City. Marubeni, leading an international consortium, oversaw the comprehensive design, procurement, and installation of various components including rolling stock, trackwork, power supply, signaling, and telecommunication. With two additional stations added in the East Extension project that Marubeni completed in October 2021, the LRT Line-2 now offers smoother and more extensive connectivity, enhancing the commuting experience for passengers within Metro Manila and extending access to surrounding areas like Marikina and Antipolo.

Marubeni’s railway projects in the Philippines underscores our dedication to practical transportation solutions. By providing access to financing and offering competitively priced resources, we strengthen our role in enhancing operational management and fostering efficient and accessible transportation networks. Our comprehensive approach ensures that infrastructure projects are executed with efficiency and effectiveness, meeting specified requirements while delivering tangible value to stakeholders.
