The Marubenny is a ship
full of Marubeni's aspirations,
ambitions, and a trove
of business treasures.
The huge wind turbine that rises high between the masts generates electricity! This way, the Marubenny can sail onward not only by catching the wind in its sails, but also by using the energy created by the spinning wind turbine.
The garden in the center of the Marubenny's deck grows plenty of fruits and veggies. Though the Marubenny often travels through unstable waters and unpredictable weather, the crew has devised adaptable sowing, fertilizing, and cultivation methods to achieve a stable, self-sufficient food supply—even on board the ship!
The fountain at the foot of the windmill is always flowing with fresh, clean water. This water is made by converting seawater (which is drawn in through a special opening in the bottom of the ship) into freshwater using special membrane technology. The crew uses this water throughout their voyage—not only for drinking, but also for watering the garden, filling the ship's water tank, and more!
This large water tank, housed in the hull, is full of salmon! The salmon, farmed on board using land-based aquaculture techniques, make for a delicious and healthy feast in between adventures.
Imagine finding dozens of structures that look like windmills floating along the Grand Line. What might these structures, all in a row along the vast ocean surface, be? Why, they're the wind turbines of Marubeni's floating offshore wind project, providing sustainable power to people around the world of ONE PIECE!
While the more common bottom-fixed offshore wind turbines must be installed in shallow waters, where each turbine's foundation can be driven into the seabed, floating offshore wind turbines can be installed in deeper waters, further expanding the ocean area suitable for wind power generation.
As offshore wind power generation spreads throughout the ocean, the sea breezes that power the ship of the Grand Line's most famous denizen, Luffy, will become an even greater force, one that empowers the whole world. In both this world and ours, the wind is a limitless source of energy that carries our dreams into a future of endless possibilities.

Imagine living in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, where your life and the fate of your country itself depend on securing fresh, clean water. Unfortunately, the only reliable source of water nearby is the ocean, which is much too salty to use. But don't worry—Marubeni is here to help with a seawater desalination project!
This project produces water that people can drink by using special membrane technology to remove salt and other impurities from seawater. Now that Alabasta no longer needs to rely on a scant supply of rainfall and groundwater, life could someday return to even the kingdom's most infamous ruins, the former Green City of Erumalu . In both this world and ours, we have the expertise and technology needed to usher in an age of transforming seawater into water resources—and ensure our waters never run dry.

With such a small amount of soil, the SKY ISLAND have only been able to grow a few crops, resulting in an unstable and uninspired food supply. This is where Marubeni comes in: We have the knowledge needed to expand agricultural possibilities around the world.
With our expertise, we can implement technology-backed precision agriculture to efficiently grow and harvest a wide variety of crops by introducing seeds, fertilizers, and cultivation methods that suit whatever environment is at hand—even one as special as the sky! But with no natural body of water to be found nearby, where did these delicious fish come from? Marubeni's closed-cycle land-based aquaculture salmon farm, of course! While sea-based aquaculture struggles with water pollution issues and limited installation space, land-based aquaculture has a low environmental impact and can be done nearly anywhere. With high quality salmon made available wherever you are, near or far from the ocean, feasts can only get more sumptuous and scrumptious!
In both this world and ours, delicious and nutritious salmon may well be the food that supports voyages into the future. After all, you can't set out for adventure on an empty stomach!

Developing a safe, speedy, and comfortable eVTOL is the future of air mobility. This next-generation transportation method is a highly anticipated form of infrastructure, featuring superior mobility, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and exciting potential, including as crucial medical transportation. Welcome to Water Seven, an island city also known as the City of Water! Long famous for its shipwrights, Water Seven takes pride in the numerous incredible watercraft created here. The most renowned among them, bequeathed to the city years ago by a fabled shipwright, is the wondrous sea train, a symbol of hope that saved the island from the brink of decline by enabling train travel over the ocean surface.
Now, Marubeni is here to conduct this legendary sea train into a more sustainable future. The key lies in what powers the train: fuel ammonia. Since fuel ammonia emits no carbon dioxide when burned, the sea train can journey on into an environmentally friendly future and shine as a renewed source of hope for generations to come! Marubeni is currently working hard to establish a supply chain to realize the high hopes we have for fuel ammonia as a next-generation low-carbon fuel. In both this world and ours, we will lay the tracks that carry us into the days and decades ahead thinking not only of the power fueling our efforts, but also of the kindness we can show our environment along the way.

Marubeni, which boasts a 30% share of all coffee beans imported to Japan, supports not only coffee trading, but also sustainable coffee farm management. This support focuses on local communities in coffee-growing regions, where Marubeni contributes to improving coffee farm workers' livelihoods through sharing production know-how and to providing more educational opportunities for children through such initiatives as building and funding schools.
This results in coffee that is aromatic, flavorful, and considerate of the people and environment involved in its production, making this drink a perfectly exquisite accompaniment to your favorite sweets! Marubeni has been developing such spices and seasonings in collaboration with chefs and research institutes around the world in response to growing food trends among consumers, such as wanting to use healthier ingredients (e.g., ones with less salt and sugar) and to shop and eat more sustainably (e.g., reduce food loss). These seasonings can serve those needs while also enabling people to expand their cooking repertoire and go on more adventures in the kitchen.
