The status of Marubeni Corporation ("Marubeni") has been renewed as an index component of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) for the year 2011-2012.
The DJSI World is one of the best known measures of Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)*
in the world; this year 342 companies from all over the world were selected for the index, including 25 Japanese companies.
Marubeni has been selected as the index component since 2008.

The DJSI World evaluates companies for a high level of sustainability based on the three principal criteria of “Economic”, “Environment” and “Social”, as well as criteria specific to each company.
Only companies with excellent scores are selected for the index.
