The Metals & Mineral Resources division is a world-wide player investing in the metal resource development businesses of, for example, steel manufacturing materials, coal and non-ferrous metal mines, and aluminum refining plants, etc. The division also trades in steel manufacturing materials, coal for power generation and general industries, and non-ferrous light metal materials. In addition, it deals with non-ferrous light metal products, electronic materials, recycling and new energy businesses, aiming to cater for a wide area of businesses ranging from upstream to downstream sectors.
Division's Strengths
(1) Iron ore and metal raw materials: trading field of raw materials for blast furnace and stainless steel industries
(2) Coal: investment in PCI coal for the blast furnace steel industry and trading fields
(3) Non-ferrous metals: trading field of copper base metal
(4) Light metals: investment in competitive refineries and base metal sales
(5) Downstream sectors: electronic materials, such as LED, etc. and the automobile recycling business
